The mission and purpose of the Boca Raton Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and present information and artifacts relevant to the past and evolving history of Boca Raton and to maintain a visible role in education and advocacy of historic preservation in our community.
The Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum and the Fire Bay Gift Shop, together known as the Boca Raton History Museum are located in the heart of Downtown Boca in the city’s Old Town Hall. We are open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00pm.
In the former fire engine bay, the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum operates its museum store, the Fire Bay Gift Shop. Appealing to the historian, tourist, and local resident, the Fire Bay Gift Shop features unique & educational gifts for all ages. Items such crafts by local artisans, historic photographs, unusual gifts and souvenirs of Boca Raton's past and present are available. History books published by the BRHS&M, books by local authors and The History of Boca Raton DVD are for sale in the gift shop and online.
Full priced merchandise can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. Merchandise must be in unused condition and the original receipt is required. Refunds will be processed within two weeks of receipt of the returned item.
In addition to the Fire Bay Gift Shop, the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum also serves as the official Downtown Boca Raton Welcome Center. Whether you are a visitor, a newcomer, or a longtime resident of Boca Raton, you owe it to yourself to learn more about our rich history.
